Campaign for Real Beauty

On a serious note. Dove has got this wonderful campaign Campaign for Real Beauty. Simple name, but it is very powerful. I have seen this in person. I have worked on projects and seen these things happen first hand. It is a pretty true as to what happens on a high end fashion campaign.

Watch the video folks. It is real. Beauty is so much more than skin deep. I think in todays age people place way too much on outward appearance. A shower once a week will do a lot for a person. LOL! Photoshop is a very powerful tool, and 90% of what is seen today is so fake. It is just wrong.

Tell someone how beautiful they are today. Try to see the person through their skin. Look deeper for the warm glow of true beauty. Support Dove in the wonderful effort they are making to change lives.

Summer's First Hair Cut

It is hard to believe our youngest is now three-years-old. It felt like yesterday all of our family had gathered round for the birth of our third daughter.

The day was filled with happiness and immense fear. We almost lost both Danielle and Summer that day, but we had some wonderful doctors that took care of us. Witnessing a c-section was one of the most amazing things I have seen.

Let me tell you. I have seen some pretty crazy stuff. I have been in the pits with some of the most famous racecar drivers in the world on the most famous race track in the country. I have photographed the President. I have met Steven Tyler. I have walked in burning buildings with some of the finest heroes this country has known.

Yet a c-section. A procedure repeated thousands of times everyday is what I find amazing.

I remember carrying Summer out of the delivery room. As the nurse and I walked down the hall I could see my mom and Danielle's mom standing in the hallway standing nervously. I said nothing. I knew what was coming next, and I did not want to miss a thing.

Now, it has been three years, and it was her first donation to Locks of Love. Everyone of our daughters has donated to this wonderful cause with their first haircut. Summer's hair was getting too long. As you will see she was very happy with her new hair. "I can see daddy!," is what she said.

Lina at Great Clips just did a wonderful job! Lina if you read this I just want to say you ROCK! She is studying to be a nurse, and she is a self-admitted perfectionist. Thank you for being part of this special moment!

In the slideshow "Buddy" makes an appearance. This is Summer's favorite toy. There is a lot of really good stories with "Buddy."

Well, I hope you enjoy this one! Check out the slideshow right here!

Apryl and Jason - Memphis, TN

While I was in Memphis for Tina and Roy's wedding I took the photographed Apryl and Jason's engagement session. They have such a tough time planning their wedding. In fact the church they were going to get married in March burned down!

So, I met them at the new church they are getting married at. It is right on the river. I can't wait! They are an awesome couple, and I am honored they chose me to photograph the big day!

Here is the slideshow!

Enjoy!

Tina and Roy at the Madison, Memphis, TN

Tina and Roy what a fun ... fun ... couple! They were so awesome! Memphis was rough though. I locked my keys in my truck just prior to the ceremoy. Of course there was no time for a locksmith, so I tried breaking the lock on the back window. You guessed it! In my genius I smashed the window instead!

It was worth it! The photos are great! Check out the slideshow right here.

Enjoy!

Bob Corker's Turn

This time I got to shoot US Senate candidate Bob Corker for Getty Images. There is not a lot to tell. Not a whole lot happened. It was by in large a typical campaign stop.

Enjoy!
