I Love Jim Cantore - Tropical Storm Edouard - Texas City, TX

This weekend we learned of Tropical Storm Edouard on our door step. It has been a little hectic getting ready. We had needed to get our hurricane emergency kit in order, so after most of the day working on that the girls were a bit wound up. They were a little nervous to hear their parents say if Tropical Storm Edouard becomes a Category 1 Hurricane we would ride it out.

So, we decided to have a little fun. We love hurricane season and watching Jim Cantore from the Weather Channel work on his leaning in various storms in the past. Since he is a favorite person to watch and tease on TV this time of year we decided to make a few signs. Then we were off to the Texas City Dike for a evening of letting loose.

We had a lot of fun and it was great to see our daughters cutting it up a little with all the serious talk lately.

Vanessa and Heath on The Strand, Galveston, TX

A couple of weeks ago I met with Vanessa and Heath down on the Strand at Galveston for their engagement session. We had a lot of fun and we got try try out some new backgrounds and try some new things.

I am looking forward to their wedding in August. They are going to have The Drywater Band performing live at the reception!

Lauren and Jason's Wedding at Ashton Gardens, Houston

The other day I was hanging out with Jason and Lauren at Starbucks, and I got to thinkin' I never made a post about their wedding! Which is a cryin' shame because their wedding was awesome!

Lauren had her hair done by the fine folks over at Blue Mambo in the art district of Houston. It was a great atmosphere, and stylists rocked.

They were married over at Ashton Gardens on the north side of Houston a while back. It was a wonderful place to get married. It was beautiful and secluded which can be hard to find around Houston. The thing I could not get over was all the windows in the chapel. It made my job easier. There was a lot of soft directional light.

There was so much emotion. There were tears and laughter during the ceremony, and you can see that these two are definitely meant to be.

They had photographs from their engagement session all over the place. Every time I would turn around I would see another. I was very flattered.

Brendon + Amanda = Music to My Ears

I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph the very famous Brendon James Wright and his finance Amanda's engagement session. Fellow photographer John Bamber referred them to me quite some time ago. It is so wonderful to be able to photograph another artist, and Brendon and Amanda made their session so easy with their willingness to try anything.

Wild West Weekend! Houston Bridal Show & Wedding

It has been a crazy weekend! I had a booth at the Houston Bridal Show put on by the fine folks over at the Perfect Wedding Guide. It was wonderful to meet with all of the brides I met with over the weekend, and I can't wait to discuss your wedding more! Plus I had a wedding Saturday night too! More about that on another post, but enjoy one of the photos above.

If you are a product of the 1980's then you will be delighted to know there is a new Lost Boys on the way! An unnamed source, my wife who tacks this sort of thing, sent me the trailer. It even has Corey Feldman as the lead vampire killer!

Lauren and Jason - Ashton Gardens, Houston, Texas

Here is a recent engagement photos of Lauren and Jason, and they were married recently at Ashton Gardens in Houston, TX. We took the engagement photos on The Strand and then on the beach on Galveston Island.

We had a lot of fun. There is so many places to shoot on the island. Truly is a different experience each time. Jason and Lauren were so much fun! They have known each other practically forever. I will have their wedding photos to share shortly.
