A Special Message

For those of you that are not aware there is currently a family emergency that is affecting turn around times to recent orders, and recent photo sessions including recent weddings.

At this time I can not speak about what is going on, but I want to insure everyone all images are safe and appropriate measures are being taken to make sure work progresses. However, turn around times are longer than usual.

As part of this and recognizing that people's weddings are a once in a lifetime event I have made special arrangements. For the next few weeks there will be a backup photographer with me at every wedding should I not be able to continue with my responsibilities. As for now I will be at each and every wedding, however, I have made arrangements should this change.

I thank you for your understanding during this difficult time. You may reach me directly at 423.544.2267. Please, if you are calling, leave a message should I not be able to answer. I will return your phone call as soon as possible.

Thank you,
Jason

Harold Ford Jr. Stumps Here!

What a day! I got to do some work for Getty Images. Basicly the assignment was Senatorial canidate Harold Ford Jr. stumping here in Chattanooga. I have been working for Getty since 2001. I love the stuff they send me to.

There was a big crowd, but there was a few problems as well. The rumor is that the event was at the same place Sheriff Billy Long had his offices during his campaign. Long asked the landlords for a welcome party but had a Ford campaign stop there instead. Turns out the landlords are Corker supporters.

There was a few Corker supporters out there with signs and words were exchanged. It made good TV. So, here are the photos.

Now I need to get back to my real job!

This guy with a camera... Not me... LOL... John Rawlston with the Chattanooga Times Free Press.

I just noticed I had his name spelled wrong. I really wish someone would stop moving the keys on my keyboard!

Savannah, GA - A Different Perspective

Savannah has been photographed in many wonderful ways, so I decided to put my own little spin to it. I tried to create images that people usually do not see of Savannah while still being true to the city and it's history. I love this place. The city has one of the biggest ports in the United States. It is a common site to see a cargo ship pulling into port. More imporantantly the first steam ship to cross the Atlantic left from the port of Savannah.

The history of this city is amazing! Some of things that shaped this country's future started right here. During the Revolutionary War the first battleship was taken from England and used against them. The city has played major roles in the Spanish American War, the Civil War, World War I, and World War II.

During the Civil War Savannah was not touched by Sherman who burned his way accross the south. It is believed he saved the city from destruction as a gift to a woman he loved. How romantic. Enjoy the images, and I hope you all get a chance to visit here.

The image of the statue above has an interesting story. The statue is called the Waving Girl. The story goes that this lady made a promise to a sailor she was deeply in love with to wave at every ship that came into port until his return. She waived everyday as promised, but her true love never returned.

Enjoy!

A Bigger Bang! And A Beach Engagement Shoot

I was shocked about last week's events. Let me tell you they are nothing compared to this week. I started out in Nashville this week for Nikki and Jeff's wedding. What a blast! They ended the night with a fireworks display! Very cool! I then arrived back in Chattanooga about 3am, and I was back on the road to Savannah for a sunset engagement shoot with Alana and Mat.

Here are a couple of quick ones from that shoot. We were so blessed with a wonderfully timed rainbow, and light that was out of this world!

To top all of these things off. I have spent the last half-hour head ducked in a hallway with my wife and daughters as a tornado was spoted in the center of Bluffton where our hotel is located. Wow!

Stay tuned I will get some images from this weekend's wedding up. It was wonderful! I do not want to give anything away, so I have something to write about.

Enjoy!
