Saturday Night Shoot

I went to do a little night shooting late Saturday night with my friend Matt Dunmore.

We almost got shot! Yes, by a gun... duh! It turns out the old gas station was not abandon. Unfortunately, we did not get very many photos, but the shot we did get are pretty cool.

We then went to downtown Chattanooga for some night photography. Matt did well downtown, but I was just too upset about loosing such a great subject to begin with.

Enjoy!

Coolidge Park, Chattanooga, TN - The Fountain

It is spring time again here in Chattanooga. I love it! There is so much for the kids to do and festivals to go to.

Enjoy!

Galveston, TX Lighthouse

During out last trip to Texas we stoped in Galveston (as always), and it was extremely fog, but it made for some really cool photos of the lighthouse. We do not get to go very often, but we go out of our way to go smell the Gulf of Mexico.

Image was made using....
Canon 1D Mark II
Sigma 17-35mm 2.8-4.0 Lens
Photoshop CS to Edit

Enjoy!

Computer Viruses

I lost a whole day’s work today. It was scary and extremely frustrating. The people that create these things should be taken out in the street and get flogged. I love the Thailand approach for punishment on this one.

It is more than a nuisance. I fought with this thing all day. It has taken me away from my work and family. The government should do more to prosecute these people. Then once they get to prison, for a really long, stay then I stay they should be put to work on stealing form other hackers and tracking them down to pay for all the extra prisons.

That is my rant for today.

Summer Ann Stabing

This is a shot of Summer, my two-year-old, hard at work with mom. We believe that our kids should make thier own dinner.... just kidding.... Working with mom is a lot of fun!

Crazy!!! AAAHHHHH!!!

The last 48 hours has been completely nuts! I am not sure if I am coming or going and which way is up. Nothing big other than doing what I love. Doesn't that sound horrible? LOL... This morning I was up at 6am. I accomplished the ultimate in multi-tasking. I should write a book. I had three computers and two printers slaving away. I was actually impressed with what I have got don already today.

Now, I am sitting at a Starbucks to deliver one of two weddings today. I am a half-hour early, and I drove two hours to get here! NUTS!!!

Later today I have two engagement sessions. They should go well if the weather holds. Of course I expect the shots to be good regardless considering the location. I am photographing at the Parthenon in Nashville, TN. You will have to take my word on it. I can't show you a shot even though I have done a bridal session there. The wedding is in July and I can't show the images publicly yet. I can't wait though they are very cool!

Well, folks got to go find another way to waste 15-minutes, but hey, there is nothing better than a couple of extra minutes!

PUG Meeting & My Birthday Present

Pug Meeting
I went to my first Pictage User Group meeting last night. It was a lot a fun, and I learned a lot! It is great that as wedding photographers we have a chance to get together and learn from one another.

Something I learned is to use this blog more often. Matt this is my first post as promised. I want you to put me in a different folder in your favorites! LOL!!

My Birthday!
Yesterday, was my birthday. I had been talking about getting a grill, charcoal of course, so my wife bought me one. See I am a native Texan, and no one in this area serves true Texas style BBQ. Well as I see it, my duty as a Texan is to learn to be really good at this.

Truth be told I tried fishing, and I really suck. I am really good at cooking, so they way I figure it is if the nuclear power plant goes hot I can be a cook. Since I know I would die if I had to catch my own.

Stay tuned folks I am posting some images shortly!
